
Chief Bruce Moore was promoted to chief of the Geneva Fire Department following 14 years as the assistant chief of the Hydrant Hose Company. He was a volunteer firefighter for more than 35 years prior to his appointment as chief.
Moore is a certified New York State Instructor. He has completed the New York City Fire Officer training academy, as well as several fire origin and determination classes.
Moore oversees a staff of 18 career firefighters, more than 100 active volunteer firefighters, and three full-time and seven part-time civilian dispatchers.
In 2003, Moore retired from the New York State Agricultural Experiment Station as a print shop supervisor.
