Geneva Recreation Lifeguard Classes

All lifeguarding programs are held at the Carter Road Pool

LIFEGUARD TRAINING &WATERFRONT LIFEGUARDING
Dates: Tues, Weds. & Thurs. May 10—June 14 (6 weeks)
Time: 6:30-9:30 p.m.
Fee: $75.00 Res./$110.00 Non-Res.
Material fee $70.00 payable to the American Red Cross. You must purchase your supplies before the first class. The Red Cross Office is located a 83 West Bayard Street, Seneca Falls, Telephone 315-568-9436
Instructor: Paul Ottley
Age: Minimum age 15
Students must attend all classes. Absence must have prior approval.
This class teaches professionalism, surveillance, victim recognition, equipment based rescues, caring for head and neck injuries, facility surveillance and rescue board techniques.
Class size limited to 12 students.

LIFEGUARD CHALLENGE/REVIEW
Dates: Monday & Tuesday in May or June (Available by appointment) Must attend 2 consecutive nights Time: 6:45-9:15 p.m.

Fee: $45.00 Residents/$60.00 Non-residents
This course extends authorization for 3 years and updates current lifeguards to new material. Participants must have a current lifeguard training certificate and CPR for the professional rescuer.
