Assessor's Accomplishments and Priorities
2009 Accomplishments include:
- Maintained assessment files, both computer and paper, adding more photos to the computer files;
- Maintained an equalization rate of 100%;
- Received a certificate of excellence from the NY State Office of Real Property Services;
- Fielded questions and directed the Sale of City Properties Project;
- Processed 241 sales documents with a mean sale price of $91,200; and
- Updated assessments in the City as required.
2010 Priorities include:
- Continue individual and computer assessment file maintenance;
- Update construction and values city-wide to help maintain an equalization rate;
- Continue adding photos to the electronic file;
- Continue training the new tax clerk; and
- Continue support work in anticipation of the 2010 U.S. Census.
