City Attorney: David Lee Foster

The Attorney's Office provides support for City Council and staff departments and divisions.  Work includes providing advice and research on a number of legal, procedural and other issues.  The office represents the City of Geneva and City officials as appropriate in all legal proceedings.

2009 Accomplishments

• Completed a number of legal representations for the City related to pending litigation;
• Worked in support of Code Enforcement and Economic Development offices;
• Assisted in labor negotiations as necessary; and
• Supported other related organizations and City Boards and Commissions.

2010 Priorities

• Continue to represent the City of Geneva in all legal proceedings and real estate transactions;
• Carry out related City activities (RLF Committee, IDA, Ag and Food Tech Park) to support City revenues;
• Participate in implementing certain economic development projects; and
• Actively work with the Code Enforcement office on court-related enforcement issues.
